Reena Tolentino

Born and raised in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California by her single mother from the Philippines.
Reena learned at a very young age the value of diligence, persistence, and that having a vision could help one rise above the challenges faced daily.                                                                                  
As a young child, she's played various roles appearing in "Married With Children," "7th Heaven," "Clueless," "Beverly Hills 90210," and in later years,"iCarly."                                                                          
Reena's first audition and acting job was working with the late singer, and actress, Aaliyah.  Working with Aaliyah on the video production  of "Journey To The Past",  Reena had no idea of Aaliyah's influential artistry would leave for Reena years to come.                                                            
As a child actor, she trained early on with the legendary Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler Acting School. Years later, she came across the Sanford Meisner technique at Playhouse West, where award-winning actor James Franco studied and taught.                                                                             
Thereafter, Reena worked with Italian film director, Giorgio Serafini in an action film with Dolph Lundgren and Billy Zane. She worked with Nick Cannon on his film “School Dance” playing  the role of Fantasy Girlfriend and worked alongside Norman Reedus in a film directed by Patrick Hoelck called ‘Blak Hat’. Aside from Film and TV, she has appeared in national commercials, such as Baskin Robbins, Best Buy, Coca Cola, Intel, Samsung and Sprint, etc. And in Print Modeling, Reena has appeared working with sports lifestyle brands, such as ASICS, NIKE, and PUMA.                      
Apart from acting, Reena co- wrote Reena Clone Blog Series, which gave Reena an awareness of her directorial capabilities of writing, producing, editing and acting in her own content and ignited her to write short stories, and a couple feature film length scripts.                                                            
As one can see, she not only has high esteem for the Arts, but she is well rounded in scholastics and received her BA in Communication Studies.                                                                                            
In 2014, she was a recipient the Young Ambassador of Goodwill Award.                                                   
 *Reena's mom would instill philanthropy characteristics upon Reena as a child into her teenage years. One of their mother & daughter bonding projects would be sending boxes to the Philippines containing useful things such as clothes, cans, shoes, accessories, etc.,                                                 
In 2017,  she was  a recipient of the Woman Of Worth Awards in the category of Entertainment by the State of California.                                                                                                                                        
In 2018, Reena won "Astronaut Of The Year " Award from Mars Academy USA. A low fidelity astronaut analog training program to expand the exponential technologies in astronautics. Reena has joined three missions as Crew Artronaut, 2 missions as Executive Officer as well as Greenhab Officer and Crew Commander.                                                                                                                           
Reena spends a quarter of the year in LA and  the other quarter in England, and the other quarter traveling around the world, painting in different cities. She enjoys using the term" arting" around (a term she uses when she's creatively making something other than painting on canvas). She daydreams of creating an art piece big enough the whole world would have to see, she actively trains at her favorite gym in West Hollywood, walks with her 18 year old dog, laughing and being " foodies" with her girlfriends to different restaurants, and being a supportive, loving daughter to her family.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    RT gravitated to painting as a child. Her grand father was a well known architecture/creative designer, and her childhood babysitter (whom RT considers as a grandmother) would paint oil paintings of her family, landscapes and simple portraiture paintings.                                                             
RT had her first art show at Downtown Art Walk of May 2011.                                                                      
Shortly after she went on a 2 year hiatus. She didn't want to paint or touch a brush.                                   
Later an inspiration sparked inside to paint again! She would paint in her home and sometimes use AirBnB as a private painting getaway. In 2016, RT  then sparked a new inspiration for her current series “Hollywood Icons of 1990s: Gone But NeverForgotten.” She came back full swing with her new work at the Stone Malone Gallery on the famous fashion street, Melrose Avenue! RT has had past art shows displayed at RAW artists (LA), Street Art Fair International,  AC Gallery, Stone Malone Gallery, Skirball Center and Art Basel Miami 2017.                                                                 
In February 2018, she had her second solo art show during All Star weekend held in Los Angeles.   "RT's NBA ALL STARS" featured 13 original art works in addition to art installments surrounding certain art pieces.                                                                                                                                                      
In March 2018, she attended Art Basel Hong Kong. She was also commissioned to do some of her "Shoparazzi "street artwork in what was named in Lifestyle Asia Magazine's #1 top Mexican restaurant in Hong kong, 11 West Side.                                                                                                                
In May 2018 RT joined Mars Academy USA as an Intern and gave and was asked to give an "ARTRONAUT" presentation on Artists and Space for Crew 1114.                                                                         
In July she was asked to join Crew 1117 as the Crew Artronaut and Greenhab Officer on a full scholarship.                                                                                                                                                                  
In October she presented at IAC (International Astronautical Conference) to talk about the role of art in astro wellness in space during isolated environments and she  showcased  her first Astronaut Trilogy paintings in part of the presentation.                                                                                                       
In November 2018 she was asked to join Crew 1119 as Executive Officer and Artronaut. She has lead the Body Mapping sessions and the blind fold canvas sessions in two missions.                                    
In December 2018 she was invited to attend UBS's Private Lounge at Art Basel. Also, you can see her street art all over Wynwood in this year's Art Basel.                                                                                         
During Art Basel 2019, RT brought her Trilogy Bruce Lee series to Hong Kong. She installed three art installations in three different restaurants (Chino HK, Bindaas, and 11 Westside). Her piece "UNLEASH BRUCE LEE" sold instantly.                                                                                                                         
RT has street art with her music campaign "I'M A SHOPARAZZI" for her single  "SHOPARAZZI" in Berlin, Miami, New York, Paris, Hong Kong and LA.

In 2020, RT did two large scale mural and billboard tribute for the late Kobe Bryant on the historically famed  Jim Morrison's Love Street and ESPN,  and Sports Center featured the Kobe billboard on Sunset Blvd.                                                                                                                                            
RUN DMC, 12 on 12 vinyl and RT teamed up to do her own adaptation of their Iconic Jam Master Jay's 35th Anniversary of "Raising Hell" vinyl album cover. She modified the Iconic RUN DMC logo to a different color wave for the RUN DMC merchandise.                                                                            
First time virtually exhibiting her NBA ALL STAR Series in Northern Europe with BOS Gallery as well as displaying a few pieces in a boutique gallery  in Palm Springs, CA.                                                   
In 2021, she was featured in Coachella Valley Magazine, Tainted Magazine, Shoutout LA, and Voyage Magazine.

In April 2022, RT was asked to lecture at the Conference of Human Analog Space Missions. She became the first Filipino American painter to give a lecture at Cambridge University about art as Astro-wellness therapy for analog astronauts for I.C.E space missions.                                                                            
The same month she finished her first painting of 8 ft by 7 ft  inspired for her Quantum Entanglement art narrative. This is her biggest canvas dated.
