“The Space Pianist” Podcast  | New episode!

We are excited to share with you a new episode of the EuroSpaceHub Business Of Collaborations podcast! EuroSpaceHub releases a special episode each month, hosted in rotation by each project partner. This month,  the protagonist of the episode is Leonardo Barilaro, also known as “The Space Pianist”. During the episode, Rachel Deloughry of Collabwith interviewed him about his work with Space and Music. Leonardo graduated with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Padova, researching on hypervelocity impacts and space safety. During those years he did a concert at the ESRANGE Space Center in cold Sweden while taking part in his first space mission with the SCRAT Project. Leonardo is not only an engineer, he is also a music composer and pianist. His compositions can be described as Contemporary Space Music, where he merges piano solo, prepared piano, synths and embedding a wide range of experimentations.

Check out EuroSpaceHub's blog to know more about Leonardo's story and the Podcast episode!

The podcast is available also on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and Google Podcasts.

EuroSpaceHub End of Phase 1 and Partners Meeting | Vilnius, 9th-10th Feb

Time flies! Phase 1 of the EuroSpaceHub Project is now completed. As you already know, EuroSpaceHub is a European project supported by the EIT HEI Initiative, specifically EIT Manufacturing and EIT Raw Materials. Phase 1 of the project lasted six months and officially began in July 2022. There were many initiatives supported by the project, which was greatly articulated in this preliminary phase. Now, we are preparing for phase two!

The consortium's founding partners will meet again in Vilniu on Feb. 9-10th, this time as guests of Vilnius Tech University in Lithuania. The goal of this meeting is to take stock of the work done over the past months and set the stage for the planning of phase two. We look forward to getting to work in the beautiful city of Vilnius!

In addition, phase two will begin with a major milestone event: the launch of the EuroSpaceHub Digital Platform! In the meanwhile, join our waiting list: we will notify you as soon as the EuroSpaceHub digital platform goes live!
